Resonating from Regina, Saskatchewan, Tara Dawn Solheim is a multifaceted artist who has performed across Canada and Japan. Her music draws on 1920s-30s blues, jazz, and early rock ‘n’ roll. She plays piano and spins music as a DJ to create danceable vibes. Invited to create original work for the Cathedral Village Arts Festival, MacKenzie Art Gallery, music festivals, dance works, and CBC Radio, she spent five years in Tokyo performing with music collectives. A Usui Reiki Master and certified Somatic Experiencing© practitioner, she often creates poetry films in nature.
In this workshop, we will explore methods to find playfulness and resonance within your speaking and/or singing voice.
We will explore:
– flexibility of expression through simple games and activities
– dynamics between breath, body, voice, language, and imagination
– core nervous system skills to help our bodies release, recover, and become more resilient
This workshop is informed by my study of Fitzmaurice Voicework and Somatic Experiencing. My artistic practice combines writing, a cappella singing, performance poetry, music creation, energy medicine, meditation, and somatic exploration.

Yoga & Meditation with Sierra
Friday, July 25, 5 pm: Art in the Barn (Area 1)
Sunday, July 27, 11 am: Workshop (Area 2) Courtyard
At 25, I’ve rooted my life in balance, wellness, and connection — both with nature and the self. I’m a certified yoga teacher and holistic nutritionist, blending movement, mindfulness, and food as medicine to support others on their path to inner harmony. When I’m not guiding others through breath and posture, you’ll find me barefoot in the garden, nurturing the soil as a reflection of the care we all need within. My greatest passion is helping others return to themselves — to feel whole, nourished, and empowered in their own bodies. Through yoga, holistic nutrition, and grounded living, I hold space for people to reconnect, heal, and thrive.

Have fun being YOU! Kids programming
Sunday, July 27, 12 pm – 4 pm: Haywire Kid’s Zone (Area 4)
Welcome to a space where kids can be weird, wild, loud, quiet, silly, curious, serious, joyful and everything in between. This is a playful environment designed to honour the whole child. Whether you’re into climbing, crafting, running, hiding, laughing, or lying in the grass staring at the clouds, you’re invited to show up exactly as you are. Rather than following a rigid plan, I follow the natural interests and curiosity of each individual, allowing them to take the lead in their journey. Whether we are exploring the wonders of the natural world, playing interactive games, engaging in creative arts and crafts or diving into mindfulness practices, the day will flow with a SPOIL EM rhythm. There is freedom within this form, and the acronym stands for:
Social time
Play time
Observation time
Individual time
Learning time
Exercise time
Mindfulness time
This is more than a program – it is a co-creative space for kids to connect with the world around them and the wisdom within.
A simple goal for the day = may each individual person realize their greatest superpower is being their authentic selves and that so much can be learned through breath, movement, laughter, and play.
So come as you and have fun BEING YOU!

Energy, Frequencies, Health & Vitality: Beyond the edge of Science as we know it
Friday, July 25, 8 pm: Workshop (Area 3) Courtyard Tent
A Workshop with Dennis Riordan
This presentation will be on the “experimental” realm of frequency modulation and subtle energy balancing. I will discuss and explain my journey, what I’ve learned from others and some of the breakthroughs I’ve discovered on my own and how people can benefit from this all natural approach to health, gardening, growing crops and raising animals. Question and answer interaction is welcome throughout the discussion. I hope that people of all ages will find the topic mind-expanding at the very least. Everything is energy, and we individually have the power to change energy! Radionics, dowsing and what I brand “aethertronics” are effective tools in achieving these desired changes.

Breathing into Grace with the Golden Sun
Saturday, July 26, 10:30 am : Workshops (Area 2) Courtyard
Hello friends, my name is Reece. I am a meditation practitioner trained through Place of Bliss Academy, Sura Flow, and The Priority Academy, offering a grounded, holistic approach rooted in the mind, body, and soul. With a degree in Child and Youth Care Counselling, I’ve spent over six years supporting vulnerable populations — from walking alongside high-risk youth to compassionately guiding individuals of all backgrounds through the complexities of the mental health system.
My lifelong journey of self-inquiry and spiritual exploration has led me to a deep connection with the divine and my true calling. One of my core beliefs is that connection is born through vulnerability — when we allow ourselves to be seen in our fullness, a gateway opens… we give ourselves permission to heal. I don’t claim to have all the answers — in fact, I believe that the moment we say we know everything, we know nothing. With humility and an open heart, I hold space for others to reconnect with their inner truth, release limiting beliefs, and awaken to the divine flow of life.
“The wound is the place where the Light enters you.” – Rumi
This guided journey is a sacred return to your inner self. We’ll begin by anchoring into the present moment through mindful breath. Without attachment you will be asked to bring forward a limiting belief, fears, or old pattern. With compassion and presence, we’ll create space for these energies to soften and shift.
Through gentle guidance and deep, conscious breathing, you’ll reconnect with inner peace, self-compassion, and the grace that lives within. This practice invites you to trust the unfolding and remember the deep safety that has always been inside you.
What to Expect:
- Safe container for reflection, rest and renewal
- Release tension and resistance through deep mindful breathing
- Anchor into the present moment with visualizations and body awareness
- Observe thoughts and beliefs without attachment
- Embrace vulnerability as a pathway to connection and healing
- Cultivate self-compassion and grace, allowing space for inner softness and acceptance
- Opportunity to integrate
Duration: 25 minutes, arrive 5-10 minutes beforehand, there will be 10 minutes for at the end to integrate through journalling or connection with peers.
What to Bring: A cozy spot to sit or lie down, a blanket or cushion, and anything that helps you feel safe and supported.
Encouraged: A journal for reflections after the practice.
Come exactly as you are.

Mantra Music Workshop

A Mantra Music Workshop with Winsome Kind
There’s no mistaking the chemistry when you hear Saskatchewan’s husband and wife inspirational folk duo, Winsome Kind. The story of their love, which now spans over a decade, is as beautiful as their music, with memorable melodies, luxurious harmonies, and heartfelt stories.
Scott Perrie and Leora Joy met in 2012, performing in a production of “The Buddy Holly Story”, and fell in love. In the years since, they’ve filled their days making music, travelling, and raising their incredible children. They’ve released 3 full-length albums, as well as numerous award-winning singles and music videos, and have performed across Canada and North America.
Their latest album, Love in a Hurricane, which features their unique blend of folk, pop, and harmony, now has over 200,000 streams on Spotify, and recently won 2 emPower Positive Music Awards. It was recorded almost entirely with a mobile on-the-go studio, which Leora and Scott travelled with throughout a 2-year adventure in Mexico and across Western Canada, and completed on Salt Spring Island with the help of local legend Daryl Chonka. With songs such as Trail of Love, Living Free, Frequency, Hola Hola and Keep on Lovin’, they hope to inspire heartfelt connection, unity, and strength, in their authentic and winsome way.
“…The folk-pop affair is rife with vibrant harmonies, and there’s a candy store’s worth of sweet melodies.” (CBC Vancouver)
“…A PAEAN TO FAMILY AND THE SENSE OF CONNECTION WE TREASURE WHILE NURTURING AND BEING A PART OF ONE. THE CLOSE HARMONY SINGING BETWEEN THE TWO LEADS SOUNDS LIKE AN AURAL SYMBOL FOR ALL OF THAT… THE VITAL IMPORTANCE OF CONNECTION, ACCEPTANCE, AND SECURITY THAT IS SO SOUGHT AFTER IN FAMILIES, AND IN GENERAL. HAPPY LISTENING!” (Rob Jones, Radio Free Lightning Bug)

Sacred Lines – An Art Meditation
Sunday, July 27, 12 pm: Art in the Barn (Area 1)
Hello, I’m Lori Bradford, a certified art therapy practitioner and artist. Join me for a unique, calming workshop at the Haywire Farm Festival that I call Sacred Lines. In this meditative drawing class, we will explore two powerful artistic techniques that soothe the mind and nurture creativity. We will weave together the intuitive flow of Neurographica and the mindful patterns of Zentangle to open doorways into deeper self-awareness and spiritual connection. I will show you the basics of both art forms and help you engage in mindful drawing exercises that are designed to quiet mental chatter and awaken creativity. You will experience a sense of relaxation, self-discovery, and hopefully joy in the creative process while creating a beautiful and meaningful piece of sacred art. I invite you to trust the unseen, to allow art to become a bridge between the conscious and the divine. You don’t need any artistic experience — only a willingness to explore and receive. This class is about the process, not the final product, so come with an open heart, and leave with a greater sense of peace, inspiration, and artistic confidence. I will provide all the materials needed for this class but you are more than welcome to bring your own art journal if you have one. If you are looking for a way to de-stress, enhance creativity, and explore new ways of mindful expression, then come and join me at Sacred Lines, a meditative drawing experience.

Shiatsu
Sunday, July 27, 2 pm: Workshop (Area 2)
Releasing tensions from neck and shoulders in sitting position. *12 people max
Hello, my name is Harry Peter. I was born and raised in the Black Forest area of High Germany. There I was trained as a Physical Therapist and worked as such for several years. During this time I got acquainted with Rex Lassalle, the founder of Hara Shiatsu International. He introduced me to various alternative and Asian healing methods. The fascination with his work lead me to the exploration of the interaction between the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of healing. Since my immigration into Canada I continue to support my clients to improve their well-being by teaching this methods and by offering individual sessions.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu, meaning “finger pressure” in Japanese, is a therapeutic massage technique, based on the principals of acupuncture, butr without the needles. Gentle pressure and stretching are applied in order to influence the body’s energy to flow and organ systems. This creates harmony within the body and increases its ability to heal itself. Shiatsu is not only beneficial for treating all kinds of illnesses, it is also very relaxing and a great tool to get rid of any stress related problems. Since health challenges first show up in the body’s energy system, even long before any damage is done to an organ, Shiatsu is excellent for prevention and a adjunct for any health maintenance program. Shiatsu is excellent for prevention and a valuable adjunct for any health maintenance program. Shiatsu is traditionally done with clothes on, though it helps not to wear too much layers of clothing. T-shirts are best, but tank tops or sweaters work very well, too.
In this workshop you will learn how to release tension from the neck and shoulder area. The sequence is designed for home use and this is very easy to remember. There is no need to know the exact pressure points. All you need is some gentleness and the desire to have some healing fun with your partner.

Sovereignty: The Blueprint for Principled Organization in a Chaotic World
A workshop by Noor Mitri
July 28 9 am – Haywire Barn
What does it mean to be truly human? It’s a question as old as time, debated endlessly across cultures and history, and lost in the endless surrounding ideologies. When we observe history we realize that the last version of the common human character was a direct result of the idea of universal human rights. A premise that sadly is currently being assassinated by overwhelming corruption of the essence of the human spirit. This is evident in the horrors of unfolding wars, pandemics, ideological conflicts and economic uncertainties; and if we crowned it all with the possibility of extinction due to environmental crises, we begin to see an overwhelming recipe for giving up, opening the doors of radicalization.
Meanwhile political puppetry, where the strings are pulled by the highest bidders, lead us into a parade of collapsing institutions…
Noor, a Syrian Canadian artist deeply affected by war, foresaw this grim reality 13 years ago. Moving to Canada, he struggled to break through his dual existence, rooted in traditional eastern philosophies of collectivism, and discovering western individualism.
With the 13 years war on Syria, Noor’s existence fell into an extreme sense of disintegration, loss of hope, and questioning of faith. In desperation Noor asked the creator for assistance in maneuvering this world from hell, in order to apply himself for the salvation of his children, surrounding community and all that matters. What followed was a total reality collapse brought upon a brain injury resulting from a series of concussions and post concussion syndrome which lasted for years.
“I tried everything to recover from my brain injury—resting in dark rooms, sensory deprivation, and various brain training methods—but nothing worked. It felt like I was losing myself. In my desperation, I found my father’s 3,000-page Arabic Bible and began reading. This unexpected discovery set me on a 13-year journey of studying Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
But the quest for understanding didn’t stop there. I was drawn to explore the profound answers hidden in the study of geometry, leading me to insights about human organizational structures. I discovered that true human sovereignty and meaningful living often arise from knowledge and deliberate choices, in stark contrast to imposed templates. This journey taught me the value of individual sovereignty, offering a path to navigate my life.”
In this workshop, we’ll discuss the origin of human ideologies, and the concept of sovereignty as a building block for exploration and how it can shield the individual from the ‘Hunger Games’ of modern existence, providing a principled approach to navigating our chaotic reality.
“After long years of learning and personal application, with the blessing of the creator and learnt knowledge I successfully turned my vulnerability into a teacher. A teacher that taught me the value of key principles in order to become an individual and consciously build my human character in the play of life and destiny.”
Today, Noor is a three time recipient of Canada Council for the Arts strategic grants where he leads BeatsUnion, a human centric digital innovation and a global artist movement towards sovereignty, self-sustainability, and self governance. In addition, Noor manages his family restaurant in Regina, and leads artistic and educational events in support of the global peace movement and the world peace councils.
About the Workshop:
Join us for a profound storytelling into the mysterious concepts of sovereignty, simplified by precision of mathematics and geometry. Sovereignty is not just a political idea, but an eternal truth in meaning. We’ll dive deep into the fundamental origins of ideologies and discover how sovereignty can act as a safeguard against the “Hunger Games” reality many of us face. This workshop isn’t just theoretical—but inspired from my personal journey as an artist, father. entrepreneur and ultimately as a human being.
What You’ll Experience:
-
Insightful Discussions: Explore the concept of sovereignty as a powerful framework for protecting human rights in a turbulent world.
-
Personal Reflections: Engage in a meditation session aimed at finding unity in our human experience.
-
Live Art and Music: You can also participate in interactive art and reflect on a musical journey curated by Noor, designed to inspire and uplift.
This workshop is not just a learning opportunity but a call to action—a chance to reclaim our sense of purpose and direction in a world that often feels off-course. Whether you’re looking to understand sovereignty on a deeper level or seeking practical strategies for personal resilience, this workshop promises to be an enriching experience.

Agricultural Legacies
A workshop by Jonah Toth from the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation
July 28 4:30 pm Haywire Barn
The Community Foundation has been a trusted partner for 55 years, helping to facilitate and guide charitable giving in Saskatchewan and support folks in creating a legacy. We are a catalyst for community impact and have granted over $40 Million in the past decade alone to strengthen our communities and enrich the quality of life.
Join us for an engaging and interactive workshop to reflect on your own legacy. It is said that a society grows when we plant the seeds of the trees whose shade we will never enjoy. How can we each write our own legacy, not only through what we leave behind, but through what we give to our communities today?
